Angus and Dundee has a growing reputation for drama and culture, and the theatres in the area attract performers from the world of the stage, ballet, opera, pop music and musical theatre. Dundee's largest venue is the Caird Hall which features a variety of performing arts throughout the year.

In Dundee's west end - known locally as the city's 'cultural quarter' - you will find Dundee Rep Theatre, home to Scotland's only resident company of actors, and the Scottish Dance Theatre. Also in Dundee, the Whitehall Theatre regularly features drama, pantomime, music and comedy.
